Wu Shu is a restaurant specializing in Northern Chinese cuisine.
We approached the creation of this interior with a touch of irony: on one hand, it features a classic colonial Chinese design with a strong influence of chinoiserie, including traditional Chinese fabrics and ornamental decor elements, and plenty of dark wood furniture.
On the other hand, the interior boasts numerous quirky elements: seamless red floors, ornamental partitions that serve multiple functions such as shelves, decorative panels, and even a large illuminated wall connecting two rooms and different cool ceramic tiles.
Many elements of this interior were sourced from flea markets and second-hand shops, giving the restaurant a unique look that avoids both glossiness and stark minimalism.
